A smart lock is only as good as its installation. We make sure the deadbolt lines up with the strike plate and extends fully, which also keeps the motor from straining and draining the battery. Then we set it up with you: codes, app, auto-lock and the other features you want.
Choosing a smart lock

Landlords and hosts can give each tenant or guest a unique code and change it between stays, with no rekeying and no keys to hand out.

The price depends on the lock and your door. Our $25 service call is added to the price of the job.
What happens if the battery dies?
Most smart locks warn you well before the battery runs out. Many also have a keyed backup or a way to power the lock from outside. We recommend models with a backup option.
Will a smart lock fit my door?
Usually. Most smart locks fit standard deadbolt holes. If your door is older or unusual, we'll check it and tell you what fits.
Are smart locks secure?
A quality smart lock that's installed correctly is a solid choice for most homes. Keep your app and codes private, and change guest codes after each stay.
Can you add a smart lock to an apartment?
Often, yes, but check your lease first, since many landlords need to approve lock changes and keep a way in.
