Choosing the right lock

Not all locks are built the same. Door hardware is rated on the ANSI/BHMA scale, from Grade 3 (basic) to Grade 1 (the toughest, built for heavy commercial use). For an exterior door, a solid Grade 1 or Grade 2 deadbolt is a smart choice.

We'll recommend a lock that fits your door, your budget and how much security you need, and we can key it to match the keys you already have.

Don't forget the door

Many front-door break-ins happen by kicking the door in, not by picking the lock. A reinforced strike plate with long screws that reach the wall framing makes a big difference. We can reinforce your door while we install the new lock.

After a break-in

If your door or lock was damaged, call us any time. We'll secure the door, replace the damaged hardware and rekey the rest of your locks if keys were taken.

Pricing

The price depends on the lock you choose and your door. Our $25 service call is added to the price of the job. We accept cash, credit cards, checks, Venmo and Zelle.
